...... because they’re the ones doing it?

What about North Korea, Iran, Vietnam, Nigeria, Madagascar, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Peru, multiple islands in the Caribbean?

Had to go through my server logs for sources of attacks - definitely need to include Canada, USA, China, Russia, France, Italy, Germany, Iceland, and Japan in the list too.

Attacks come from all over the world.

exactly.

Fight cybercrime? Yes, let's.

Macron said it's urgent to better regulate the internet.

But this? No, let's not.

Which will Putin eat for lunch first?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

why would cyber-criminals want to fight cyber-crime?

Russia, China, USA are all involved in cyber crimes so can not sign. If they signed then get caught its much more embarrassing than getting caught but not having signed. They also didn't sign "no landmines" in warfare "Ottawa treaty. Eliminate nuclear weapons. And one even withdrew from the Paris climate control accords.

How these nations have the gall to consider themselves as world leaders is perplexing when they fail on almost all major topics that effect the globe and mankind's survival. They are steadfast when it comes to greed and they stand together to block many positive initiatives started or proposed by others.

When will the rest of the world wake up to their shenanigans?

Well said Peter14. Couldn't have said it better. Trump has ditched the EPA, and now we have more polluted water (Flint, Michigan--what's that?), and ditched global climate change treaties (hotter weather? GOOD!), and now even nuclear weapon bans. Conservatives will, of course, hoop and holler for such "victories" almost as if they are trying desperately to move back the clock to the cave man era.

Thanks, Macron. Thanks, Trudeau. We need more ethical leaders like you.

But the United States, Russia and China are not among them.

Rogue states.

Macron has a worst popularity rating than Trump. Which is a pity because on the international stage he comes off well. I like him on the world stage. Domestically, where it counts, he is struggling.

Trudeau is nothing but a name. His popularity is also sliding.

Canada's economic isn't great. 1.9% gdp growth. Poor. Unemployment not really going anywhere and gdp/dept at 90%. It looks a lot like Europe and worse in some instances. Trudeau doesn't deserve another term.

I hope some one hacks into the Kremlins data base and wrecks it! now that would be funny.

Which countries will extradite cyber criminals to other countries?

Hint: not China and not Russia and sometimes, not the UK.

Japan will have to keep updated on developments by fax seeing as how the head of cybersecurity reports he has never used a computer :-)
