Something tells me she was probably verbally or physchologically or physically or a combination above his whole life.

We don't know enough here. Have you considered that the man may have been her carer, did she have Parkinson's? Alzheimer's? incontinent? wandering at night? Yes with these diseases personality changes can happen. So it may not have been his whole life .Were they receiving assistance? Not only caring issues but were there also financial problems. It may seem easy to look after a child, but when you have an 80 year old who has turned night into day, doubly incontinent, along with memory loss, or movement problems, it can be exhausting. We all know mother can get help, but there can be very little help for carers of adults.

@Abe234 80 year old mom!!! Regardless of how old she is you don't beat your mother to death no matter how much anger you have. If it comes down to not being able to care for her the best thing to do is put her in a place where she can be cared for.

I have a Q? how much does it cost to put and maintain this fancy retractable Police light on top of a cruiser? Ever since I came to Japan It was one of the first thing that I noticed.

Why does it have to be raised then lowered when it can be fixed installed at an height desired.
