Police in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, have arrested a 52-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of attempting to rob a convenience store.

According to police, Jiro Kamei entered the store at around 4:55 a.m. Tuesday and threatened the 28-year-old male employee with a pair of scissors and demanded money, Sankei Shimbun reported. However, the employee was able to subdue Kamei and called 110.

Police said Kamei, who has admitted to the charge, said he needed money for living expenses. He lives in a facility within five minutes’ walking distance of the store.

trying to rob convenience store

That's his problem. He was "trying." Either "DO" or get out!

4:55 a.m. on a Tuesday...........

If you're up that early, with nothing to do, prep a CV and find a job!

If he “lives in a facility,” he is either homeless or mentally ill.
