54-year-old man arrested over attempted murder of brother

Police in Kiyosu, Aichi Prefecture, have arrested a 54-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of attempting to kill his 51-year-old brother.

According to police, Gen Ito stabbed his brother, who lives in Nagoya, in the chest and arms at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sankei Shimbun reported. 

The victim was able to drive himself to a nearby police station where he said he had been stabbed by his older brother. He was taken to hospital where doctors said his wound is not life-threatening.
