64-year man arrested after forcing son to hang himself

There must be something more behind this.

I mean, how the hell can a 64 old many force someone in his 30s to hang himself?

Normaly the 30s old man will kick the 64s old man's ass easily.

I guess both want to commit suicide together by their own will.

First the son by his own will, and then the father will follow.

I do not believe the story that the 64 year old father forced the 30s old son to kill himself.

Their must be more behind that.

Lots of missing info here. Was the son medically unfit to work or just unemployed and mooching off his father? How did the father, more than half his son's age convince him to hang himself - were they planning a murder-suicide or joint suicide? Why choose a popular sightseeing spot for this crime? I hope there's a followup article for this.

See no other reason wasn’t this heinous act was not done at home other than make a public statement:

- “At around 6:30am, Yukutake asked a passerby to call 110. Police said Yukutake, who remained at the scene, alluded to being worn out from looking after his son, …quoted as saying he had planned to kill himself too but couldn't go through with it.” -

Utterly appalling.

This is another case of a carer killing the person in their care.

This story has a lot of missing info. I really hate to speculate and make assumptions but I’m guessing the son was mentally handicapped and didn’t understand what his father was asking him to do. You can’t force a mentally sane person in their 30’s, or any age, to hang them self.

The old man doesn't stand a chance against the insurance company, whether he did it or not.

After reading this article my mind tells me "the father alluded to being worn out from looking after his son. Either the son had a handicap or perhaps he was severely autistic and required a lot of work. This doesn't mean the father didn't love his son perhaps he was just to tired caring for him he said he wanted to kill himself but couldn't (Police did not elaborate. Yukutake was quoted by police as saying he had planned to kill himself too but couldn't go through with it).

It sounds like they agreed to a dual suicide pact and the dad chickened out. "Forced" might imply that Dad tricked the son and planned not to go through with it.

It's a fine line between forcing someone to kill themselves and allowing someone to kill themselves.

agree with the above. as usual JT is too quick to publish articles that are hastly written confusing us even more. It would be better to sit on a story and present it in a clear and concise manner with all the details instead of leaving too many questions unanswered

I'm already tired out from the another of today's posts about a parent killing their kid, so I'll just say I hope this guy rots in prison. He was tired of taking care of his son? Well, let prison for the rest of his life "refresh" him.
