Police said Monday they have arrested a 64-year-old man for allegedly robbing a cake shop of 750,000 yen in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward.
According to Sankei Shimbun, the suspect, identified as Hiroshi Sugiyama, came into the shop in Sakuragaoka at about 6:45 p.m. on Sunday night. He was wearing a blond wig, cap and sunglasses.
Sugiyama threatened the staff with a survival knife and demanded money. As he was leaving the store with 750,000 yen, three employees chased him and subdued him outside the store, TV Asahi reported. One employee suffered a cut to his finger in the melee.© Japan Today
