Police said Monday they have arrested a 64-year-old man for allegedly robbing a cake shop of 750,000 yen in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward.
According to Sankei Shimbun, the suspect, identified as Hiroshi Sugiyama, came into the shop in Sakuragaoka at about 6:45 p.m. on Sunday night. He was wearing a blond wig, cap and sunglasses.
Sugiyama threatened the staff with a survival knife and demanded money. As he was leaving the store with 750,000 yen, three employees chased him and subdued him outside the store, TV Asahi reported. One employee suffered a cut to his finger in the melee.

When the robbery occurred, there were two customers and ten employees. This stupid ass must have thought it was a piece of cake. He won't be eating any cakes for a while. The three that chased him were males.

I do have one question, the employees gave the guy the money, then chased him and subdued him? He still had the knife, right? Why did they give him the money in the first place if they were going to physically try to stop him?

BTW, I tought he went to Fujiya, they usually sell a lot of cakes and other food to have that much cash, but the place was some shop called "Voila". I guess it is one of the shops where even the water is 200-300 yen.

This is the famous VOILA cake shop in Sakuragaoka. Having 750,000 YEN is probably not unusual for this shop. A typical 400 YEN cake can be bought here for 250 - 350 YEN at reasonable prices.
