Police in Fukuoka City said Wednesday they have arrested a 66-year-old man on suspicion of fatally stabbing his 60-year-old wife at their home.

According to police, Muneshige Kawa stabbed his wife Pirucha Yun several times at around 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday at their home in Hakata Ward, Kyodo News reported. Another member of the family called 110.

The victim was taken to hospital where she died about an hour later.

Police said Kawa has admitted to the charge but denied intent to kill. He was quoted as saying he lost his temper after he and his wife had an argument.

"Your honor, I only stabbed my wife several times - I didn't intend to kill her."

Lost his temper. Stabbed her. Typical Japanese male response. Are men in Japan still in the 18th century?

Right wielding knifes or swords same thing ... I guess it is because of the gun control laws overseas where they allow guns the typical mans excuse is got angry so shot her ... that's in the 20th century right.

I heard that Chinese women are very demanding especially about money. That could be the reason....

Only full blown psychopaths say they had intent to kill and show no remorse. Every other murderer probably only had intent to inflict bodily harm, not kill, and shows remorse. That’s why they always say that. And remorse plays a big part in sentencing.

I don’t understand murderers saying they “deny intent to kill” after stabbing someone unless it’s a legal formality to lessen jail time.

Anyone know?

Take a deep breath, count to twenty then hug, is better than repeatedly stabbing someone you choose to spend the rest of your life with.

Stabbed her repeatedly but didn't intend to kill her????
