Police on Tuesday arrested seven people, four Japanese and three South Koreans, for illegal possession and sale of fake brand-name products in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture.
The seven were arrested for allegedly possessing and selling fake brand-name products, such as Louis Vuitton and Hermes bags, through online websites for mobile phones from April of 2005 to July this year, for a total of 130 million yen. Police have impounded about 6,0000 fake brand-name items so far at their office.

I feel bad for those ladies who shell off tons of money for fake Hermes. Authentic and fake louis vuitton's aren't really hard to notice.

No mention of where these counterfeit brand-name products were made. If brought in from another country then how did it get thru customs?

Is that 6,000 or 60,000? A Typo? Thepro, quite a few are. My wife used to work for Gucci and LV and she sees some everyday. They are not hard to spot really for people that know LV. There are some really good copies out there that pass as authentic without a really good look.
