A seven-year-old girl was stabbed to death at her home in Inagawa, Hyogo Prefecture, on Sunday morning. Police said the girl's mother, who was found lying beside her daughter, also had a stab wound to the stomach which may have been self-inflicted.
The girl’s father called 119 at around 4 a.m. and said his daughter had been stabbed and was bleeding, Fuji TV reported.
Police rushed to the house and found the body of the girl, Juri Iwamura, bleeding from a stab wound to the neck, in her bedroom on the second floor. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Juri’s mother was found unconscious on the floor beside. A blood-stained knife was near her. Police said her wound is not life-threatening and they will wait until she recovers before questioning her.
Police said the house showed no sign of forced entry.
The girl’s father told police he was sleeping downstairs. He and his wife also have a 10-year-old son who was unharmed.

Child welfare should be very vigilant and that many young women - not meaning THIS case - are capitivated by some forceful guy who mistreats the child.

Anyway, according to Japanese articles the mother nodded yes when asked by rescue personnel if she stabbed her daughter.

We "don't" know, and yet we "do" know. Please elaborate on this logic. Based on what ground do you assume the girl was a "complete" ("complete" means without exception to the rule) angel (and how do you define "angel")? Any proof to support your distance diagnosis (as I assume you don't know her in person yourself)?

It seems that an awful lot of these murder-suicides ends up with a failed suicide.
Maybe they should try reversing the order, and see if that is more successful.

We have plenty of info:
Fits in with similar cases of mothers killing their children which we unfortunately read about too often.
Attacker kills victim and then fails at suicide. Again, something we see often.
No sign of forced entry, indicating an inside job. (Yes, there have been cases where doors were left open, but we have no information indicating that thus far).
Father was sleeping. Yes, he could be lying, but it is unlikely he'd kill his daughter and then leave his wife alive to tell the story. We have no evidence of his involvement thus far.
Brother is only 10 years old. Again, not impossible, but not very likely he had enough hatred and strength to kill his sister and try to kill his mother. We have no evidence of his involvement thus far.
And perhaps most importantly, police plan to question the mother.AramaTaihenNoYouDidnt

Tragic.
Since we don't have anywhere near enough info to make a conclusion about why this happened, let's all speculate!
It could have been anything from an intruder to a mental health crisis on the mother's part to the mother having experienced side effects of a medicine like ambien.

At 4am what would make a mother stab her daughter at that time of the morning, Sleep walking ??? No not that. Mental issues ??? No not that. I was drunk & I don't remember - No not that. She is just a bad mother and an evil person at that. She probably stabbed her while she was sleeping. Sad story. R.I.P little child.
