Police in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, on Monday arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of killing his 76-year-old sister at their home.
According to police, Eigo Ota strangled his sister Tokiko at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sankei Shimbun reported. Ota called 110 to report what he had done.
Police initially charged Ota with attempted murder but upgraded the charge to murder after Tokiko died in hospital at around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Police said the siblings lived alone and that Ota has so far given no motive for killing his sister.

This is sad, She has been apart of his life since his day of birth and maybe she was not a good sister or maybe she was a wonderful sister, I guess we will never really know. Now was this a murder out of Hate or was this a Mercy killing. I guess we will never really know. Can't really form an opinion on this case until all facts are known if ever they are known.

She was only 76 years old, not 100, and there is nothing to suggest she was bed-ridden.
He killed her, he should go to prison for the rest of his life.
