Shw won and was robbed by a youth someone who knew her or was in the pachinko shop at the same time. The cops need to find the people who sat near her and anyone who was near the money window.

One shouldn't jump to the conclusion that she was murdered in a robbery, but with all the recent similar events it's hard not to believe that is the case. I never thought I would be so concerned about my personal safety and the safety of my family living in Japan, but these kinds of events are happening every day and they are so random it is scary! I'm sure we are going to see a lot more people carrying weapons for protection and these kinds of events are going to continue to grow in regularity.

She was play'n PACHINKO and was murdered walk'n home from it. To solve local crimes you must THINK like the locals.

So sad. Cops should take care of old gents and ladies as they deerve more love, care and safety as we are enjoying our lives because of them. Joint family system should be promoted and restored.

A pachinko parlor? Sounds very very strange. 73 and out after 9pm. Very strange.

Take a gamble in today's Japan and you take your life in your own hands.

do they have those vegas style eye in the skye cams in pachinko parlors? You'd think it wouldn't be hard to flash some pics around and ask some questions, or at least question the people in the parlor and ask if they knew who was around at the time of the slaying. Hope they catch the dude who did this. If it was a robbery, dude certainly didn't have to kill the poor woman for her money.

Death #86 of Stabby Summer continues...

In the good ol' days, nobody stabbed you in the neck during a purse snatching. They just grabbed yer bag and ran. Ahhh how I long for the good ol' days.

In the better good-old-days crime was practically nil in Japan. Once it began it snowballed. In the beginning it was mostly white-collar crime but rapidly progress to heinous.

It's worse when old people, such as this one, are targeted.

Her bag was found about 50 meters from the crime scene" The article doesn't say if anything was stolen or not.. Maybe she ran a bit?

Isn't Sagamihara where there are two US military bases? No, not accusing, just trying to picture the location.
