Wow! These family murders just never stop in Japan. In other countries you read about murders involving robberies or fights in pubs, etc. but not in Japan because it’s a safe country - until you go home.

Henny,

There are far more murders involving family members in Japan than the UK.

Of course Japan is safer than the UK in every way except intra-family killings, but to say Japan doesn't have a problem with family members killing each other is rather native I feel.

What other countries are you thinking of? I read British papers everyday. No shortage of reports on family murders in British tabloids. I rather doubt that every pub fight or robbery in London makes it into the news. If you want more crime stories in Japan, the different police precincts in Tokyo have e-mail alerts you can subscribe to.

You do, of course, have to be able to read Japanese.
