Police in Kumagaya, Saitama Prefecture, have arrested a 79-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he attacked a 70-year-old patient who was in the same hospital room as himself.
According to police, the suspect has admitted to the charge and said he slammed the head of the victim into a bed railing because he wouldn’t stop making noises early in the morning of Sept 15, Sankei Shimbun reported.
Police said the victim suffered a brain contusion and remained in a critical condition on Monday.
Besides the suspect and the victim, there was one other patient in the ward at the time of the incident, but he was asleep and told police he heard nothing.

They say that snoring is bad for your health. Perhaps it is worse than believed.
