79-year-old man arrested for selling 290 porn DVDs in Osaka’s Airin district

Police in Osaka have arrested a 79-year-old man on suspicion of selling DVDs with obscene content in the Airin district in Nishinari Ward.

Elderly man, trying to survive in a rough area selling outdated tech to similar elderly who can't even access smartphones, targeted by hard-working police in "crackdown".

Perhaps he just selling his own collection, he is old enough where he lived where there's no restriction to blur certain part of actor/actress body.

The more likely reason is it was an easy arrest, and makes it look like they're doing their job.

That is dedication. But I can’t remember the last time I actually used a dvd player. Laptops don’t even have the drives anymore. Really makes no sense when you can watch any and every freaky niche porn genre online with the click of a button for free. As others have said though the arrest probably has more to do with how he acquired the dvd’s rather than selling them.

People should go for a walk around Nishinari. I used to do charity work there. It is a real eye opener for those who are lucky enough to earn ¥200,000+ a month.
