Police in Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture, said Sunday that an 81-year-old man was found stabbed to death at his home on Saturday.
According to police, Masaari Kitamoto was found dead at his home at around 1 p.m. Saturday, Fuji TV reported. He was found lying on his stomach with multiple stab wounds to his back by an 85-year-old friend who had come to visit him.
Kitamoto was last seen alive walking outside at around 7:20 a.m. by a neighbor who told police he noticed nothing unusual.
Police said Kitamoto’s house did not look like it had been ransacked. The front door was unlocked. The murder weapon was not left at the house, police said.

This case can be solved in no time with a bit of good ol fashioned elbow grease and proper police work. Fingerprints, shoe prints and extensive panning out the neighbourhood asking people about his friends and talking to those friends about their whereabouts and alibis. Whoever did this must be found to bring justice to his grieving family and friends.
