Japan prides itself as a nation that respects its elders... yet stories like this are commonplace. If these elderly people had more support from the government and community, his sister would have more ready access to aged care services - and the family may not have been driven to murder.

One of the highest taxing nations in the world but where does all the money go?

Today's family murder is a pretty tragic one. Another victim of the 'full-time carer' scenario.

Well like the old saying goes "Bloods Thicker then Mud" and this is a prime example. To Jujiro as a blood relative it seems it was his responsibility to care for his older sister. His wife is just his wife no blood relationship, Wife's come and they go ( Had a couple myself ).  So for her to continuously complain was wrong on her part and she paid for it with her life. Sure Jujiro may have gone a little overboard but the bond between him & his sister seems to be strong. He didn't run away he stayed at the scene which tells me he's willing to face the consequences for his actions. Maybe if his wife didn't complain and instead told him she was proud of him for caring for his sister maybe today she would still be among the living.
