Police in Furano, Hokkaido, on Monday arrested an 83-year-old man on suspicion of killing his 80-year-old wife.
According to police, Tsuneo Koike stabbed his wife Miyoko early Monday at their home and then called a friend at around 5:15 a.m., Sankei Shimbun reported. The friend called police.
Police went to the home and found Miyoko’s body, with a stab wound to the chest, in the second-floor living room. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said Koike has admitted to killing his wife after they had a heated argument.

Go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass "Go," do not collect ¥200....

I would like to know what their argument was about - child rearing unlikely, finances unlikely, etc. - given their ages. Probably something silly...
