84-year-old man arrested for driving car into police HQ

Police have arrested a 84-year-old man after he drove his car through the glass entrance of the Fukuoka Police Department headquarters on Monday.

According to police, Kazuyasu Onoda was arrested for causing property damage after he crashed his four-wheel drive into the building around 1 p.m., Fuji TV reported. Nobody was injured in the incident.

Reports said that just before the incident, Onoda had arrived and was directed to the parking lot. However, instead of going to the parking lot, he drove around the rotary and straight through the main entrance.

Police said Onoda has consulted them a few times, claiming that he is always been watched by someone and or that someone is following him.

After his arrest, he was quoted by police as saying he was unsatisfied with how the police dealt with him and wanted to make a stronger direct plea.

Just lucky he didn't wound or kill anyone.

He should have walked into the station and said "I'll be back" first.

Why this guy? There must be hundreds of people with legitimate grievances who might have done this and perhaps even accomplished something.

I wonder whether he said "Airu be baku", before driving his car through the front of the station.
