Chiba prefectural police said Tuesday they are investigating the death of an 85-year-old woman whose body was found in her home in Mobara on Monday.
According to police, the body of Yoshiko Shiino, bleeding from a head wound, was found at around 9 a.m. Monday by her daughter-in-law who called 110, Fuji TV reported. Shiino was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said it appeared Shikino had been hit several times by a blunt object, although no weapon was found. Her neck also had strangulation marks.
Shiino lived with her oldest daughter who was recently hospitalized, so she was living alone at the time of the incident, police said.
The front door to the house was not locked.

My grandmother on my mother's side died like this. She was Home alone, fell and hit her head, and died. We found her after we came back from going to an airshow.

Not necessarily a crime, but let's hope they do a thorough investigation
