Nine carp have been killed in a public park in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture, police said Thursday.
According to park authorities, the fish were found at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday. TV Asahi reported that several of the fish had been torn open and others had fireworks rockets inserted in their mouths.
The park manager said, "It's a shocking sight. If there's someone out there who feels killing living things is a game, that is horrific."
According to police, four small dogs were found killed in Ichihara on May 13 and eight months ago, five cats were found dead after they ingested food that had been laced with poison and left in public places.
Police are currently investigating a possible connection between the crimes.

yes it is, must be part of relieving from stress, better to go for pachinko than to play around with animals like this.

I aint supporting the KILLERS but, i wanted to ask if THERE IS ANY LAW or ANYTHING for people who HATE STREET CATS. Cats near my home irritate me by scratching my windows at night. I have to open the windows and scare them away in the middle of the night...Dont they take those STREET CATS away here in JAPAN ??

Catch the perpetrator (or perpetrators) just like we catch fish with a hook and line! Terrible cruelty. Carp are beautiful fish.

I don't think this is really important news. There are more important issues to report on.
The next victims of animal killers and torturers will be people. It's important to nip the sadists in the bud before you hear about bottle rockets inserted in the mouths of humans.

Call this a hunch but... I don't think the other animal killings are related to these. Go to Enoshima and you will probably find more than 9 dead carp...minus the bottle rockets...maybe. I don't think this is really important news. There are more important issues to report on.

I remember when some cat left a shark in Yoyogi park. Ok that was funny. This carp thing is insane... or this guy has the worst sashimi skills on earth.
