Intentionally falling down- playing the doddering old man card. Sky, very sly.

"When I find a woman of my type, tall and voluptuous, I would tell her 'Happy aura, happy elegant, happy nice body (sic). I want to go out with you and have sex with you...I'll give you 400,000 yen if you agree.'"

And married a 21 year woman when he was in his 70's....So essentially, he paid for sex for the majority of his life... sigh

What a card. While I’m glad he enjoyed his life, I am nevertheless amazed that someone so frivolous could accrue such wealth.

They say, 'the ways of God are strange!' Ditto for "Nature" in whose power we are mere puppets. Otherwise our species would die out were everything to depend on our freedom to decide.

Mr Nozaki is a textbook case that could have come from the pen of a littérateur.

I don’t suppose these books were ever translated into English? A quick google search doesn’t seem to return anything.

I’m sure Mr, Nozaki made good use of at least a half of one per cent of his time on Earth.

The tale of the two frivolous salesmen ironically resulted in reducing the population, Nozaki more benignly with his wares and by dying without issue.

Do you have to have needle marks on your skin in order to have illegal narcotics in your system? Sounds like the coppers just don't care enough to do a more in-depth investigation.

A life well lived.

Would love to read his autobiography.

Rest In Peace.

400000 yen a pop?!?

He could have got 40 home deliveries for that!!!

He seems to have overall been as happy as a rich man can be. Let him be. RIP.

In one way or the other we all do. It is the human condition.

Maybe it wasn't murder after all...

used the profits to become a money-lender in Tokyo

Throwing money at women might be rock'n'roll but profiting from usury is not.

Honestly, considering his history, there are probably not a lot of people crying over his passing

He wasn't a Don Juan because these women were not falling in love with him. He was paying large sums of money for sex. In the escort business, they called him "a trick". He was just well known for being one of the most prolific "tricks".

I suspect either the young wife, an acquaintance of hers, or they are both responsible for his demise.

Numan

I suspect either the young wife, an acquaintance of hers, or they are both responsible for his demise.

Why?

He became a successful door-to-door salesman of condoms in his 20s, and used the profits to become a money-lender in Tokyo.

I would have liked to hear his spiel.

Traces of illegal narcotics were found in his system but no needle mark was on his body, prompting police to investigate the case as a possible murder.

Umm, I'm not sure I agree with this detective work. He could have overdosed by accidentally snorting heroin or something. Obviously, nobody in the Wakayama PD has seen Pulp Fiction.

A guy who routinely pays money for sex is a "womanizer"? Gimme a break.

My hero! Lived your life your way and did it in one of the most difficult of cultures to do so. RIP brother!
