Intentionally falling down- playing the doddering old man card. Sky, very sly.

And married a 21 year woman when he was in his 70's....So essentially, he paid for sex for the majority of his life... sigh

I don’t suppose these books were ever translated into English? A quick google search doesn’t seem to return anything.

400000 yen a pop?!?
He could have got 40 home deliveries for that!!!

They say, 'the ways of God are strange!' Ditto for "Nature" in whose power we are mere puppets. Otherwise our species would die out were everything to depend on our freedom to decide.
Mr Nozaki is a textbook case that could have come from the pen of a littérateur.

Rest In Peace.

A life well lived.
Would love to read his autobiography.

He seems to have overall been as happy as a rich man can be. Let him be. RIP.

Throwing money at women might be rock'n'roll but profiting from usury is not.

Why?

I would have liked to hear his spiel.

A guy who routinely pays money for sex is a "womanizer"? Gimme a break.

I’m sure Mr, Nozaki made good use of at least a half of one per cent of his time on Earth.
The tale of the two frivolous salesmen ironically resulted in reducing the population, Nozaki more benignly with his wares and by dying without issue.

Do you have to have needle marks on your skin in order to have illegal narcotics in your system? Sounds like the coppers just don't care enough to do a more in-depth investigation.

Umm, I'm not sure I agree with this detective work. He could have overdosed by accidentally snorting heroin or something. Obviously, nobody in the Wakayama PD has seen Pulp Fiction.

good riddance a disgrace to humanity

Honestly, considering his history, there are probably not a lot of people crying over his passing
He wasn't a Don Juan because these women were not falling in love with him. He was paying large sums of money for sex. In the escort business, they called him "a trick". He was just well known for being one of the most prolific "tricks".
I suspect either the young wife, an acquaintance of hers, or they are both responsible for his demise.
