Police in Tokyo have arrested a 29-year-old host club employee on suspicion of attempting to sexually assault a woman as she walked along a street in July.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 3 a.m. on July 3 in Toshima Ward, Fuji TV reported. Police said the suspect, Daiki Shibuya, approached the woman who was heading home, dropped his pants and said “Let’s have some fun.”
Shibuya then allegedly tried to forcibly have sex with the woman who broke free and ran away. Police said Shibuya, who was arrested after an analysis of street surveillance camera footage, has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he had built up stress from work.
Police said Shibuya and the woman did not know each other.

I knew a host a few years ago. He seemed most probably destroyed at 20yr by alcohol, drugs, dysfunctional family and low self esteem. Also bulling and violent competition.
although we only trained mma together for 6 months, in that time, I felt he is a victim. Expelled from school at 15, growing up in yanki-houses or 24hr Internet cafes. Police intimidation both ways.
japanese society needs to be more proactive to help these poor lost souls.

A lot of women pay top money for host's "after services", I wonder why he still feel like he needs women.
But considering even committed rapes are rarely prosecuted in Japan, he will get his charges dropped in a few months. Moreover, his industry doesn't really care about background, so he will be back working in no time as well.

Don't people like him have connections to their female counterparts? why don't people from that industry keep themselves to themselves. This caught me by surprise, I was expecting people like him already have their fill of women or in the very least have more social skills than the common socially awkward salary man.
