Police in Sapporo said Thursday they have arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of killing his 23-year-old pregnant wife in a ward office car parking lot.
According to police, Toshiichi Sugino, a resident of Toyohira Ward, beat his wife Shiho, who was sitting in the front passenger seat of his RV, while it was in the ward parking lot early Tuesday morning, Fuji TV reported. Shiho was eight months pregnant, police said.
Sugino turned himself in at a police station at around 10 a.m. and said he had beaten his wife who was in the vehicle. Shiho was taken to hospital where she died early Wednesday morning. Police said she had been beaten at least 10 times.
Police said the couple had been experiencing trouble in their marriage. Police had come to their house on Aug 21 about domestic abuse against Shiho and issued a warning to Sugino.

Not sure how bad it was the first time they came to their house but if he could beat her to death with only 10 punches this time, im sure he did something the first time that a mere warning was insufficient. Police needs to be more proactive. 8 months preggers, jezus christ.

They aren’t. This is not Wall Disney here. Like any other country of the world, Japan has its share of violent people. Actually extreme violence against women and children is a real issue here.

Granted a 26 year age difference between the couple, so not much in common which will lead to arguments in the home BUT why kill her and probably your unborn child. Man Up and just get a divorce and part as friends and pay child support. Killing your wife does not solve your problems it just makes everything worse. Now rot in prison you S.O.B. cause the next body that warms your bed will not be the wife you murdered it will be your prison daddy.
