Fukushima prefectural police have arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of violating the Animal Protection Law after he uploaded videos of himself throwing cats into a canal in Sukugawa city on two separate occasions.
According to police, Ryo Jinbo, a temp worker, recorded footage of two separate incidents in December and January and uploaded them on YouTube, Sankei Shimbun reported. In the videos, he can be seen grabbing the cats by their tails and tossing them into a canal.
At the end of December, police were notified by several people who saw the YouTube videos of Jimbo abusing the cats. Following a police investigation, the videos have been removed.
Jinbo was quoted by police as saying he was stressed out at the time.© Japan Today
