Man arrested for killing 84-year-old mother

Sad that this kind of story is in the news daily here. Really just very, very sad.

Where is the LOVE? Where is the RESPECT? If he didn't mean to kill her why put hands on her?

Hosoi as saying he had strangled his mother after they had a heated argument but that he didn’t mean to kill her.

Another 50 something yr old living at home and showing his gratefulness to his mom ...pathetic indeed.

A 58 year old threw a temper tantrum that resulted in matricide. If you haven't learned to walk away and cool off by that age, it's really rather sad and pathetic. Condolences to the family.

Yeah, if they will kill their own mammy at the drop of a hat, then they, may not give 2 yen about killing a complete stranger, call it for what it could be.

Don't get into a heated argument with them or they may kill you!

This one doesn’t read like the all-too-frequent, overwhelmed Japanese adult caregiver for an elderly parent. Reads more like a frustrated man that just couldn’t ‘**walk away’ from his 84y.o. mother**.

What could they possibly have been having a ‘heated argument’ about ?
