A 47-year-old man has been arrested for threatening another man with a toy gun over a spat the two had on a road in Kanuma, Tochigi Prefecture, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred just after noon on Tuesday. Akihiro Tanaka was driving his vehicle behind a truck on the road, when he started honking multiple times at the truck, Sankei Shimbun reported. Tanaka then passed the truck and stopped in front of it. He then demanded that the truck driver get out. Tanaka accused the truck driver of going through a red signal and pointed a toy gun to his head, threatening to kill him.
The truck driver reported the incident to the police, which led to Tanaka’s arrest.

Did he know it was a toy gun when it happened, or did he find out later? Threatening to kill someone is an assault, even if you're pointing a toy at them.
