Police in Iida, Nagano Prefecture, have arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of robbing a convenience store at knifepoint in July.

According to police, Hideaki Takahashi, a company employee, has admitted to robbing a FamilyMart convenience store just before dawn on July 24, Kyodo News reported. Police said Takahashi threatened the employee with a knife and demanded money. He fled with 50,000 yen. The employee was not harmed.

Takahashi was identified after an analysis of store surveillance camera footage and detained for questioning on Thursday.

Police said Takahashi has admitted to the allegation and added he resembles a suspect in another convenience store robbery in the same area three years ago. They are questioning him about that case, as well.

you telling me they remember ONE face, three years later?

and not one other suspect during that time?

they can’t even remember to keep their guns on them after leaving the toilet.

was the suspect wearing a mask both times?

they must have super under the mask vision if that’s the case.

bunch of donkeys.

It would not have to one face, and it would not need to be on the top of their minds either. If there is not many unsolved convenience store robberies that means anybody can see the evidence from this case and compare it with the evidence collected in previous cases without it being an impossible task. Seeing similarities would then be something easily explained.

"surveillance camera footage" is "not very secret" police code for..... traced through his cell phone.

But lets all keep this a secret...shushhhhhh.
