Police in Tokyo said a 26-year-old man who was arrested in November on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman, has been served a second arrest warrant on suspicion of animal cruelty after he strangled his cat at his apartment.
Police said Akihito Asano, a soccer club coach living in Adachi Ward, was arrested in November on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in October. When police searched his apartment, they found a tablet computer which contained film of him abusing a cat on April 12, 2019, Fuji TV reported.
Police said the film showed Asano choking the feline and yanking its ears in the bathroom. The cat, which Asano got from a pet adoption agency, reportedly died after being abused.
Police said Asano has remained silent since his arrest on Monday. However, police have revealed that additional videos on Asano’s tablet show him abusing several other cats.

Throw the library at him. One book for each cat.
Deliberately hurting a defenceless animal entrusted to his care -Scum of the earth.
And to video it?
Stupid scum.

Couldn't possibly agree with Cleo more! If I recall, tough penalties for animal cruelty came into effect recently? If so, he deserves the full punishment available!

So he sexually assaulted a woman, was a soccer coach and harassed a cat (and other cats) till it died.......
That's three strikes, Akihito. Congratulations. You've proven nothing in life, and will hopefully be locked up forever. See ya!
There's no "man" in the story. Only a sorry excuse for a human being.
Pukey2
A sick and depraved "thing".

Pretty disgusting...

I monitor street cats in my neighbourhood, and this is always my nightmare scenario when one of them suddenly stops showing up.

Given the low conviction rate for sexual assault cases, he's more likely to get his convictions for the animal abuse. But unless his multiple videos turn out to be hundreds of cases, it's still likely a handful of videos will just result in a suspended sentence.

Very poor excuse for a human being.

As this cockroach isn't on a suspended sentence yet, expect him to get one.
I do hope we don't have to read about him graduating to choking humans, and police looking dumbfounded.
Fighto!
I wish this rapist and animal abuser nothing but misery and failure for the remainder of his hopefully short life.

If he abused women and animals as written that means he definitely had a mental problem

Classic psychopath and unworthy of continued resource wastage. However long he might be safely sequestered, only the long sleep will protect the rest of us from a cat killer, the inevitable first stage of a serial murderer. This monster should NEVER be free again to harm, women and children will become his cats. Please incarcerate him in the same place where that 26 year old murderer was held and we'll cross our fingers.
