"He looked quite calm," she said.

Well, he looks like a member of a crime syndicate, and many of those dudes look quite calm, until they aren't!

Criticize with your voice, not fear.

An awful lot of planning and deception. What in the world was the guy thinking?

Thinking about this 'pitchfork', I can understand that description, but still we have no indication of what he used to paint the blades pink, and why. Nail varnish? A pot of pink paint in a hotel room?

Since he announced at the gate that he was a plumber, and he had attached the knives to one end of an aluminum/aluminium pole, I am now guessing that he hoped the contraption might look at a glance like some kind of large pipe wrench.

Hope the guy does not become a hero. There are quite a few who strongly hold anti-imperial views, and he could even be ex-left-wing Chukaku or Kakumaru-Ha guerrilla from the 1970s.

The current Royal Family members are about the least nationalistic people in Japan.

This is a man they call in America  "scum."  Threatening a 12 year old child is "saitei."

This guy is toast. He'll get the max sentence possible for such a crime, guaranteed, and probably they'll push it up to attempted murder or something given how much the right wing will consider this a "serious crime". And if he doesn't, think of what the morons in the black trucks will do the guy if he walks.

How did this guy know which classroom is the one of the prince, much less how did he know which desk ws teh desk of the prince? Big data leak!

He could get up to three years if/when found guilty of trespassing. However, as he was given permission to enter the school by the dopey guards I would have thought he would be in the clear when it comes to trespass: but of course he will be found guilty in Japan nevertheless.

The pen is mightier than the sword.

He looks real scary. His face sent shivers down my back. It is credit to Police that they caught him before doing anything to the young Prince or other Royals member.

He could get up to three years if/when found guilty of trespassing.

That seems too light. I think between 15-20 years.

The mainstream press has finally been dropping the ‘self proclaimed’ name bit, so the possibility is said to be high that the police have actually been able to confirm his name at least.

Using threatening or messing a 12 year old kid, the guy should be imprisoned forever just for the fact he did this to a minor.

It’s ridiculous to protest against the Imperial system in this manner. Going after a child will only turn the public against his cause. I can understand why some people would feel that the imperial system is not legitimate based on Japan’s history (though I do not). The way to bring about change in a democracy is through persuasion. Not only is he a criminal but an idiot as well.

Wow this guy looks crazy

According to a past article, the names of the students are written on their desks or something.

Looks like he is in the need to 3 meals and a mat!
