He is the most honest Japanese I ever came across. He takes responsibility for his actions and puts himself at the mercy of the courts to mete out any punishment they think it fit for him. So much unlike the " drunk- can't-remember" types and forgetters-of-convenience.

He killed 19 helpless people. He had a knife, they had nothing to defend themselves with. It doesn't matter what mental condition he was in at the time or what he was smoking. He murdered these patients. He should be punished. But please, let's have some rapid justice. Keeping him languishing on death row year after year is merely stooping down to his level. If it's to be done, do it quick!

Over the couse of my life time met many marijuana users, never met one that was so callous the opposite actually. Met many ex military who have killed and use marijuana to deal with their stress over killing but not once met anyone who or heard of anyone killing because of marijuana. That's ridiculous and might have flown in 1950 but not now, surely not in 2020. He is sick mentally. Just lacks empathy. His defence is based on eurogenic ideas something many LDP members subscribe to and have promoted so being metally sick coveres every strata of society.

Only in Japan could such a ridiculous defense fly. Do these fools actually believe that smoking pot would turn somebody into a homicidal maniac responsible for the murder of 19 people and injuring scores more? That’s nearly as insane as the loon on trial. The reality is, if he did have a mental disorder brought on by smoking pot he would be on the sofa at home stuffing himself full of pizza and potato chips.

Ok this guy is definitely not on the side of his own defense team. He should take his own advice and painless be put to death. The suffering mental disorder by marijuana is against the numerous cases tried around the world and lost. First he would have had a much better chance of using a hallucinogen drug i.e meth vs pot unless it was coated with PCP. He was highly aware of what he was doing and just crossed the line of no return.

He has been saying this from the start. The defense should give up trying. He should be able to defend himself and get this trial over and done with. I hate hearing about him.
