Pachinko parlor robbed of ¥8.82 mil

A man robbed a pachinko parlor of 8.82 million yen in Sakuragawa, Ibaraki Prefecture, on Monday morning.

According to police, two male employees in their 30s had locked up at around 2:50 a.m. when a man accosted them outside and threatened them with a knife. He ordered them back inside and told them to open the safe.

The intruder then bound the two employees’ hands and feet with vinyl tape and fled with the cash. The employees were not hurt.

The robber is described as being about 180-190 cms tall, in his 20s, and was wearing a long sleeved black shirt and black pants. He also had a rucksack.
