Police in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, are looking for three men after an 18-year-old youth was fatally stabbed during an altercation on a street on Saturday morning.

According to police, after stabbing the victim at around 4 a.m., the three men left the scene in a car, Fuji TV reported. The victim, Jo Takamine, who lived in Yokohama, was taken to hospital where he died about 90 minutes after arrival. Police said he had been stabbed in the back.

Police said that Takamine had been walking along the street with a friend when a car carrying the three men drove slowly past them, with loud music blaring from it. When Takamine called out to them to turn the volume down, the car stopped and the three men got out and started arguing with Takamine.

Takamine’s friend was not injured during the fight, police said, adding they are questioning him further about the incident.

Police said they are also analyzing street camera footage to try and identify the car the three suspects were in.

Loud music playing at 4am in the morning is a sign of something going wrong. These guys had no respect for those who were perhaps sleep at that time of morning. Jo Takamine wasn't street savvy, he should have picked that sign of trouble up right away instead of saying something. You can't be the police, its sad he lost his life over loud music. I am thinking perhaps when he realized the thugs weren't going away with out a fight he and his friend tried to run away from the problem he got stabbed in the back.

Well, I can totally relate to the urge to tell the guys in the loud car to shut up. I've done it myself.

Get those guys and make them pay for it.

Similar premise on that movie Eden Lake. Not sure if I would confront a group of other men at that time. RIP

I thought they’re not supposed to release names if the victims are under 20? Anyway it’s better not to get into an altercation with strangers at 4am. Just ignore it and walk on. I can’t recall how many drunken bar fights I’ve been in when I was young. I was lucky. RIP.

Lots of signs saying cameras present, but often just signs and not real cameras.

So far they only have the statement from his friend, who of course makes the victim look lilly white innocent.

When they find the perps, they give a completely different story of events.

'Stabbed in the back'...... I cannot think of anything more cowardly. They should throw the key away.

If I’m hanging out with the bros, listening to some sounds at 4am, and some 18 year old, probably drunk or high, and his mate who probably ran away, starts threatening and abusing us, telling us what to do...what could possibly go wrong?

but why use a knife when it’s 3 on 2?

10yrs for that.

RIP teenager. Hope his friend learnt to walk away from trouble.

Ignoring is the best avoidance tool. Follow this phrase:

”it is not the same to call upon the Devil than to see him coming”.

in this case the saw the Devil but made the mistake to call him.

Just 18. What a tragedy. I'm guessing the other people involved would not have been a lot older.

three thugs looking for trouble, well they found it and I hope they are soon found.

Only one had the knife but when you hang around with someone that carries a knife and stabs people in the back,, you pay the consequences.

RIP Takamine.
