Whats going on in Japan there's been a few serious attacks on police in the last 12 months.

I wonder if they actually had a warrant?

I wonder if they actually had a warrant?

Of course they do.

Of course they do.

Yeah right... when it comes down to it j-cops are just as corrupt, of not more, than other countries. You think they wouldn't force themselves into a middle aged woman's house without a warrant? What planet are you on. She reacted so violently to a fraud charge? Sure, they had a warrant...

Yeah..... You do realize that fraud in Japan is pretty serious and that a criminal is a criminal. Just because you hate the police doesnt mean they are corrupt.

"The two were attacked when they began a search of the home in the city's Aki Ward with five other police officers in connection with a fraud allegation."

So where to break the sentence? Were the five police officers involved in fraud allegation? Or was it the home (ie the occupants) involved in the fraud? Or both? Thank you.

The cultural conditioning that makes for a generally placid surface can only be relied on so much to keep a lid on things and elites here know from their own history that this passivity can be a double edged sword. All indications are that we’re reaching one of those inflection points, where the temptation to go on squeezing, exhorting the masses to dig ever deeper into their reserves of gaman, is actually undermining society and triggering the kinds of mayhem that this incident typifies.

Do the Japanese police not wear stab vests? While it wouldn’t stop the leg injury the stomach wound would have been avoided.

You mean bullet proof vests. Stab "vests" are known as medieval chain mail, suits of armor etc which haven't been use for centuries.

Englisc:

Stab vests can be worn all over the body for protect, but you'd end up looking like judge dredd, a stormtrooper, or a knight. Its purely fashion and manoeuverability over safety.

Stab vests have been a part of modern law enforcement for a long time.

Most modern police vests are stab and cut resistant but not stab proof. If the tip of the knife lands between the strands of the kevlar fiber it will go through it. 100% stab proof kevlar vests exist but are expensive and their bullet stopping characteristics change, generally meaning they need to be more bulky. It is a trade-off.

If two cops, NHK, or anyone NOT delivering me a package, came and bothered me before I had my breakfast, I'd be pretty angry as well.
