Woman drives to police station with body of slain husband in car

Police in Kuki, Saitama Prefecture, have arrested an unemployed 36-year-old woman on suspicion of killing her 47-year-old husband. The woman, Masami Noda, showed up at a police station at around 7 a.m. Tuesday and said the body of her husband was in the car outside, Fuji TV reported Thursday

Noda was quoted by police as saying she stabbed her husband Hidekuni in the chest while they were in a car parked by the side of a road at around 5 a.m.

Hidekuni, who was found lying on his side in the car’s back seat, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. A blood-stained knife was also found in the car.

In March 2016, Noda consulted police about trouble she was having with her husband. At that time, they lived in Highashi-Murayama, Tokyo. Soon after, the couple separated and Noda moved to Kuki. However, in September 2016, she told police that their problems had been resolved. Her husband was still registered as living in Higashi-Murayama at the time of his death.

Police said that Noda has so far given no motive for killing her husband.

'suspicion of killing'? she admitted it, bought the body and weapon to a police station. I'm not good at cluedo, but... i hope she regrets it and thinks about what she did for a long time.

I wonder why she had a knife in her car, perhaps coincidence or intentional murder?

Can't blame her. Just recently a woman tried several times to confess to murder at her local koban, and they kept telling her just to go home and sleep it off. You have to bring a body just to get their attention it seems.

Finally, someone who doesn't try to bury their victim's body in a 5cm deep grave, hide them in luggage in a forest or try to claim the have no idea what happened. Your honesty is saluted.

Guess they can't charge her with abandoning a body.

"suspicion of killing'? she admitted it, bought the body and weapon to a police station."

The need to investigate yet to make sure she isn't actually covering for someone else. (her mother, child, a friend, etc.). That is why the word "suspicion" is still used at this stage.

Good on her for taking things straight to the police. If someone is going to say either , "self defense" or "it was an accident" it really helps their case if they immediately contact the authorities.
