No names in this story. Also the ad placements are very much not needed!

The ad placements are automatic.

I'd say that was pretty obvious. However, if this woman has a diagnosed mental disorder and a tendency to violence, why is she walking around unsupervised? Shouldn't she be in an institution?

My thoughts and prayers to the 43-yr.-old woman and her daughter, but also my sympathy for the woman who attacked them. The latter woman needs help since she is mentally ill, not imprisonment.

Japan's mental health system is a mess. People who are mentally ill is just receives prescription of psychotropic medicines, unlike in the West, it is not accompanied by a recommendation to seek counseling.

When will Japan increase its funding for mental health? Too many people doing crazy things is taking it toll on Japanese society.

Terrible ad placement, JT, should be ashamed of yourselves

It is a revolving ad so it changes every time you reload the article and it appears on every article as well. Not much they can do unless they ask the sponsor to change the picture or remove the sponsor.

So sad. Why was she allowed outside of a mental hospital? Is this the first time she has shown this mental problem or did someone drop the ball?

Ummmm what is with the "daughter7s aid" typo?

THIS is news worth, at least in Japan.

I am grateful that help arrived fairly quickly to restrain the assailant. I hope that the victims can rapidly heal their physical and mental wounds. Sadness.

How ironic to read this article only to find an advertisement of asakusa cutlery, specifically with two knives showing in the picture...
