Police in Chiba have launched an investigation into several cases of potential animal abuse following reports of the discovery of abused cats in a park.
According to park authorities, four cats bearing glue and adhesive liquid marks on their backs and heads were found in Inage Kaihin Park in Chiba City’s Mihama ward between March and July this year, Fuji TV reported.
One of the cats also had a 2-3-centimeter scar on its back, which was probably inflicted by a cutter knife, police said.
The cats have already been treated by a veterinarian and are currently in good condition, authorities said.
Park officials and police are encouraging anyone with information related to the crime to contact them. They are also examining street surveillance camera footage.© Japan Today
