All participants in Osaka 'orgy party' arrested

Back in early August, Yoshihiro Murakami, a 62-year-old resident of Osaka’s Shimanouchi neighborhood, invited a group of people over to his home. As a thorough host, he also had some entertainment planned, but his guests weren’t there to play charades or watch sports.

The gathering was the latest “orgy party” organized by Murakami, and this naked shindig’s guest list consisted of seven people: five men in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s and two women in their 30s. It’s not known whether the unbalanced male/female ratio was a crowd-pleaser or not, but it’s a pretty safe bet that all seven guests, plus Murakami himself, were unhappy when they got arrested by the Osaka Prefectural Police last weekend.

While there’s no law against a group of consenting adults going straight from “Nice to meet you” to “Let’s get it on” in Japan, there is a law about saying “Sure, as long as you pay me for it.” Murakami assembled the orgy group though an adult website he runs, collecting approximately 15,000 yen from each of the men. The women, meanwhile, didn’t have to pay anything, and were instead paid from the money collected from the guys, with Murakami also ostensibly getting a cut of the cash. He also reportedly interviewed the male applicants before allowing them to attend, though it’s unclear whether this was an attempt to gauge how discreet they would be or because he was trying to weed out potentially problematic participants.

How dare people pay for something that can be given away for free. Evil. Evil.

. Yo, don't you know that women are multi-orgasmic? We are energizer bunnies, while you guys are one-trick ponies. wink

Once again I have to insist that neither men nor women are the same as all the others. Many women are NO-TRICK ponies.

But yes, we should all have the freedom to enjoy sex consensually as we wish or abstain if we wish. That it could be written into law that we don't have this choice is disturbing and horrific. Those who have made these laws or advocate them should be shunned. Perhaps even jailed for the safety of the rest of us.

Well, if you think about it, All participants in Osaka 'orgy party' arrested sounds fairer than

Some participants in Osaka 'orgy party' arrested..

Whatever that means.

As far as I can see, his crime was not paying tax (legal and corrupt) on his income. The rest would have been ignored but for that.

I wonder what the ground rules were? No jizzing on the silverware?

Only on the silver he neglected to contribute to the local law enforcement.

The one and only reason Yoshihiro Murakami's orgy was raided- He didn't pay his special 'taxes' to the police.

Prostitution is technically illegal in Japan, but alive and kicking, if you play by the rules.

Case in point and also, ironically, in Osaka ( and not, by any means, the only one)- 松島組合, the quaintly named 'Matsushima food union'-- formerly known as 松島遊廓 'Matsushima red-light district' before the end of World War II, prior to prostitution being made illegal by the occupying forces, hence the name change to assuage the authorities.

At least forty knocking shops (white signs, black writing) in plain view, with trophied windows of the available women and Mama san's yodelling for customers, all under the watchful eye of it's very own police box- no doubt a beneficiary, which is where Yoshihiro Murakami no doubt fell foul- You have to 'get to know' your local police.

Osaka isn't the perennial winner of 'The most corrupt police force in Japan' mantle for nothing.

There are thousands of Japanese orgy scenes on porn sites and video and DVD.

Or so I've been told.

Would anybody of you pay if you were that kohai in his 30’s and therefore last waiting in the queue? lol

Victimless crime. Leave people alone to have fun in their own homes. All consenting adults after all.

The men paid, and the women were paid, which makes it prostitution.

But...

Men paid + women paid + POLICE paid = Blind eye

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Such much for the myth of the sexless Japanese.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Paying someone to get laid is just plain dumb.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Sounds like a typical JAV being made.

If they arrest these people, they would have to go for the entire industry........but then again, Japan LOVES double standards.

Is prostitution legal in Japan, yes or no? Coz one, since they charged money AND paid to the women, then this could very well fall into prostitution. And two, there was an article here in JapanToday not long ago about escort business seeking being recognized for Covid19's government help, that they are regular business like any other.

Prostitution per se is not, but getting money for vaginal sex is (though paying for it isn't really, if I recall correctly). To complicate it, oral sex and even anal sex is NOT illegal.

And finally, to complicate it even more, there are some brothels known as "Soapland" that does involve vaginal sex. Everyone knows it does, but they're rarely busted by cops (and when they are, it's usually because some other problem than prostitution charges). The reason for that is that the brothel says it only charges the client for an "assisted bath", and they are not responsible for what happens inside the room between the client and the girl. The brothel supposedly can't do anything if they happen to reach an agreement and do it by their own...

At least the same number of women no?

No hardcore feminists around to back me up?

Hardcore feminist here, always ready to help! LOL.

To this, I say "meh". It's up to the individuals what they feel comfortable with, and some women would enjoy having more than one guy at a time. Yo, don't you know that women are multi-orgasmic? We are energizer bunnies, while you guys are one-trick ponies. wink

Give those two women an award and an A for effort and participation! Just let them be, man! I'd rather them be doing that other than committing a crime or something else!

What i don't get is how he got arrested.

Internet surveillance. This is just another fine example why we don't want police having such powers. They will abuse it to enforce the most stupid laws they can find.

Consensual arrangement that would have had more than one happy ending if the cops hadn't gone for a premature evacuation of the premises.

Sounds a bit like the storyline from the Hoodoo Gurus song "Miss Freelove" !

SoraNews. What a shocker.

Barrel-scraping, lowest common denominator titilation.

The men paid, and the women were paid, which makes it prostitution.

Sounds like it. Murakami certainly seemed to take the role of pimp.

Who cares?

Obviously, the commenters here. But it's a non-starter, as a news story. Just a bit of fluff to get you up. Pardon the pun.

I remember a Shinto Shrine in Hiroshima that did this. Basically, it was for WOMEN, married in the 40s, 50s and 60s that were in sexless marriages and just needed a little action, or "cleansing" of their thoughts. So, the shrine stepped in and helped them. For a donation "from the women" they were allowed to meet men discreetly who then were NOT paid, but had free sex. The act was done, the shrine got its donation, and the men got sex. Win-win. Nothing illegal about it. This is what Mr. Murakami needs to do. He needed to set up a SHINTO SHRINE. Then, no problem.

Is it on pornhub yet?

He got the ratio completely wrong and there was only a few inches of in-and-out social distancing at most.

five men in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s and two women in their 30s.

Two 3Ps +1. What could possibly go wrong?

I don't remember I was drunk and thought it was a dream.

There are two legal issues here:

1) Money changed hands and profit was made, so it was a business. Without license, without paying tax. This is illegal, regardless of the nature of the business.

2) Technically, prostitution is not illegal, if it doesn't involve vaginal sex. Which probably happened.

Nobody was harmed, nobody was hurt, everyone is an adult...so what's the problem?

Prostitution is illegal in Japan, thats why. If no money changed hands, what happened is perfectly legal.

4 ( +11 / -7 )

I don't see any problem in that.

Nobody was harmed, nobody was hurt, everyone is an adult...so what's the problem?

14 ( +17 / -3 )

How did they film all those massive orgies we can view online? Surely the girls did not go for free!

7 ( +11 / -4 )

ridiculous - not bothering anyone, not harming anyone, in a private residence, and all consenting adults.

27 ( +28 / -1 )

Just when you think you've read it all.

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

What i don't get is how he got arrested. Clearly someone involve must have reported it to the police and had even show proof that the event actually did take place. Without proof they can't charge him. Are the police really that dedicated that they comb through websites to track down these kind of paid sex cases?

Well, he did actually committed a crime. He operated a brothel basically without obtaining a license or pay tax.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

Hopefully they were at least wearing masks.

Disgusting

Mug shots or it didn't happen!

18 ( +18 / -0 )

Way beyond my cup of tea, beyond my hygiene standards don't see what is the problem...besides the police getting involed. Maybe they were rejected.
