Would be great if he could prove it.

But he can't so he's on the run.

Costa Rica wants to arrest him and turn him over to Japan in exchange of economic aid.

Extradite him to Japan and leave him for a few hours with the yakuza. That should fix him.

Most people don't get it. They read the you as you. Like Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura activists are usually trying to help others - as you said YOU. The others however generally think it is for fame or criminal as they don't follow big brothers way or such.... Nothing one can do to explain....

Except Japan has given foreign aid to Costa Rica for years and the levels have remained relatively stable for decades. And I know that Watson claims he ran from Germany was because he was afraid that Japan was getting ready to ask Germany to extradite him to Japan, now he is saying Costa Rica is going to extradite him? He also claimed he was afraid of the Costa Rica warrant because he would be killed in a Costa Rican jail, now he is afraid they will extradite him?

How many stories does he have?

He may not be going about it the right way but he is trying to save the whales. Bribery is rampant I imagine he will be under threat of arrest wherever he goes. Certainly brought attention to his cause though didn't he.

Yes I imagine that's why they put the clause (loophole) to allow them some limited whaling if they really felt they really had too. Something like you agree not to do 120 in the 60 zone as long as they allow you to do 100?

Who is this 'they' you speak of? Do you know where and when the research whaling clause even comes from?

Japan should just put sanctions on any country housing Watson. Either way Costa Rica has alot to lose from Japan if they don't play nice. Watson should face his accuser but he is a coward.

In February, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals labeled Watson’s group pirates.

“You don’t need a peg leg or an eye patch,” Chief Judge Alex Kozinski wrote for the unanimous three-judge panel. “When you ram ships; hurl glass containers of acid; drag metal-reinforced ropes in the water to damage propellers and rudders; launch smoke bombs and flares with hooks; and point high-powered lasers at other ships, you are, without a doubt, a pirate, no matter how high-minded you believe your purpose to be.”

The same court in December ordered the organization to keep its ships at least 500 yards from Japanese whalers. The whalers have since accused the protesters of violating that order at least twice in February.

What else there to say? Watson has a documented history of being a liar so his "claims" about Costa Rica simply are not believable. His eco-terrorist group are considered pirates based on their repeated act of violence.

Oh well, if a US court, the people who gave the world insane rates of incarceration, Guantanamo and reinstatement of the death penalty, says so, it must be true....
