Police in Tokyo have arrested an Asahi Shimbun journalist on suspicion of filming up a woman's skirt on the JR Yamanote train line.
According to police, Keisuke Matsuda, 35, a sports reporter, allegedly tried to film up a female passenger’s skirt while on the train between JR Tamachi and Hamamatsucho stations at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Fuji TV reported.
Police said Matsuda used a miniature camera in a paper bag to film up the skirt of the woman who is in her 20s. Another passenger noticed Matsuda's behavior and detained him until the train reached Hamamatsucho where he was handed over to station staff.
Police said Matsuda has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he started filming up women's skirts using the same technique a few months ago and that he couldn't stop himself.© Japan Today
