They probably let it run for a while so that they could collect irrefutable evidence, meanwhile in the back of their heads they were thinking, "Let it run a few more months and we can call the case "the largest in the history of the Justice Department’s antitrust division."

What a shame. So much corruption and greed in the parts industry, from the suppliers to the distributors (dealers) to the small shops.

@Japangirl They always let it drag out a bit to inflate the fine. If they catch them too early then it would be difficult to hand down such a fine or more importantly collect said fine quickly. lol
