Body of gigolo club boss dissolved in toxic chemicals

Seven people who allegedly dissolved the body of a gigolo club owner using chemicals found in drain cleaner have been arrested, officials and media reports said Friday.

The dragnet comes almost three years after Masamichi Tsuchida, then 43, mysteriously disappeared from his Tokyo "host club", where female guests pay large sums to be entertained by well-dressed men.

Among those arrested were the club's 31-year-old co-owner and a 26-year old former employee, as well as their ex-wives and two relatives, according to police and a report in the Nikkan Sports tabloid.

The gruesome body disposal -- a method favored by chemistry teacher-turned-meth-producer Walter White in the U.S. TV series "Breaking Bad" -- was uncovered after police found a dental implant linked to the missing man in a sewage tank, they said.

Another tabloid, Sports Hochi, said some of the suspects had purchased large amounts of sodium hydroxide -- used in drain cleaner and industrial detergent -- immediately after the victim vanished in November 2010.

Police believe the body was dissolved in the bathroom of one suspect's house, the Nikkan report said.

Heisenberg's signature kill is creepy but I wonder how many Dexter's copy there are still to be found in the many bodies of water around the country.

??gigolo - well-dressed men??

gigolos have to be naked to be a gigolos unless they are have that sex with your clothes on. If they are not having any sexual relations with the clients, then they are not gigolos.

@ inakaRob:

Most of definitions of "gigolo" that I can find refer to a "well-dressed male escort" who is financially supported by a woman. The word originated in the 1920s, as a back-formation of "gigolette", which referred to a (female) dancing partner.

None of the definitions mention that the man has to be naked.

The employees of a "host club" probably come closer to the original 1920s definition of "gigolo" than they come to your interpretation of the word to mean "hetrosexual male prostitute."

a host works in a host bar, a gigolo generally works solo; never heard of gigolo bars, at least in Japan. it's conceptually wrong to call a host "gigolo". http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gigolo

Terrible.

The gruesome part of me had some of the lyrics to "Just A Gigolo" playing in my head.

When I walk from the eki to my home after work, I have to maneuver thru a forest of "hosto", young, over-hairsprayed, made up, usually wearing black, men who lay in wait for women to squeeze money out of.

Sounds like a scene straight out of Breaking Bad.

7 people, huh? Guess he wasn't so well liked.

If there's anything worse than a murderer, it's got to be an incompetent one. But then again, they're more likely to get caught so I suppose that is one good thing.

Wow.... thats why I dont like watching Dexter and other murder mystery made shows... it gives foolish people ideas.

The ex-wives and relatives are probably charged with lesser offenses after the fact - like they had some connection with the property where the remains were discovered and/or knew about what had gone down.

Been following this story for a long time. Nice to see people charged. Harsh way to go out .... rip.

It's interesting that some readers belittling this gruesome murder by relating it to a TV series. The 'coolness factor' of murder as shown in entertainment I suppose.

If they dress up nice and sit in clubs entertaining the opposite sex, they're just bimbos and tarts aren't they? I mean, that's how they're usually referred to when they're women.

A Dexter kill is much more familiar in Japan - where you often read about someone dismembering the body and scattering the pieces in many different places to prevent ID.

This chemical approach seems more traceable -

some of the suspects had purchased large amounts of sodium hydroxide - used in drain cleaner and industrial detergent

and would cause havoc with your tiles,

I hope the poor guy was dead first.

If you don't think that so-called "hosts" aren't having sex with clients then you haven't spent long enough in Japan. Their relationships with well-heeled customers go beyond pouring drinks and flattery. There are services beyond the bar to those who so desire and this exchange is understood by both parties.

You have half of it right. The other half involves having sexual relations and/or prostitution. I guarantee you if you went out and asked 100 people what a gigolo is, most of them will answer male prostitute not a good looking man that drinks alcohol with a woman.

gig·o·lo n. pl. gig·o·los

A man who has a continuing sexual relationship with and receives financial support from a woman. A man who is hired as an escort or a dancing partner for a woman. [French, perhaps from gigolette, dancing girl, prostitute, from giguer, to dance, from gigue, fiddle, from Old French; see gigot.]

What is it with people arguing whether this victim could be properly classified a gigolo or not?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Having seen some of these "gigolos" on TV, I feel sorry for any woman desperate enough to pay for their services. Little guys wearing ill-fitting suits, fake-tans - and what appear to be blonde comedy wigs. That's tragic.

Heisenberg's signature kill is creepy but I wonder

It's not Walt's signature "kill". It his method of disposal AFTER the kill.

I thought they were referred to as "hostesses."
