This sounds like a revenge or STFU murder. Mayve he was a CI or a snitch. Someone was really angry and had a lot of hatred towards him not to even want his money.

Very sad.. May his soul rest in peace.

Elbuda, what if the motive was revenge or hatred and not robbery?
Alistair Carnell
^ either that, or the money was left there to apologise for the inconvenience.

What a way to start a day. I feel for the person who discovered the body. RIP to the old man too

Was the money in a billfold or just 'in his pocket', I wonder.
Alistair could be right. The money could have been left there for his funeral expenses.

Elbuda:
Not every murder is related to robbery. And very obviously this one is not.

suicide i reckon.

@WillB
Very fishy circumstances, a 70 year old man with bruises around his eyes and throat slashed with money in his pocket. Not your everyday alleged murder crime scene here. More to follow on upcoming JT blogs.

definitely hate crime, not the racial kind...someone who hated him... almost wanna say woman killer
punched in the face beforehand to get him in a compromising position so as to have better access to his jugular
