Police said Wednesday that body parts were found in two cardboard boxes outside a real estate office in Onjuku, Chiba Prefecture.

According to police, the gruesome discovery was made by the 34-year-old office manager at around 8 a.m. Tuesday, NTV reported. Inside one of the boxes, and wrapped in a white cloth, was a human skull. In the other box, bones belonging to what appeared to be hands and feet were discovered, police said. All the remains are believed to be from the same person, police said.

The age and sex of the individual have yet to be determined, police said.

A car was seen parked in front of the office at around 5:45 a.m., police said.

Eh? That's just weird! Did the person find the bones in the house and return them to the real estate? What is the connection?

Cut n paste this story next time you think the Yakuza are "nice" people.

Who said it was Yakuza? With some of the crazy stories you read on JT now and then it could be someone's mother or son. At least we know this person was unemployed heh.

Did he find just the bones or with meat on it? If its the latter...good luck with therapy...sjeesh.

papigiulio: Read between the lines, only someone wanting to send a message would leave something like this at the front door of someones place of business.

There is no indication that the place of business was specifically chosen for the bones to be left. It could have just been a random spot chosen by the person who left them there.

Who said it was Yakuza?

There are deep and long standing ties between the yakuza, property and construction industry.

I don't know this case but, as gogogo says, there is a good chance someone was being sent a very clear message.

You are reading too much into it... These were not "fresh" body parts... It was a skull and some hands...

Maybe someone moved in their house and found the stuff while gardening and took it to the office, sat there all night wondering how they would explain this.... Then just said "screw it" and left it on the door step...

Yakuza, lol...

If it was fresh parts with a letter like "see? See What happens when you don't pay your Tepco bill?!"

I would say Yakuza then...

Definitely sounds like they're sending them a message...

I've been to the beach in Onjuku many times... it is my favorite beach in Chiba. While this may not be a Yakuza related incident... make no mistake, the Yakuza have a heavy presence in that area. But just like the Mafia... if you don't get into their business and stay out of their way... they'll generally leave you alone. Foreigners like myself get cut a bit of slack because they don't expect us to know the rules... but the natives will get their butt kicked pretty quickly if they step out of line just a bit.

Like the idea that someone just found them in the garden and didn't know what to do with them. I should be careful how deep I dig in mine as I have a lot of skeletons in mine. Never did like keeping them in the closet.
