Need to put cameras in the park and catch this nutjob. If it was at my local park, I be hiding in the bushes all day and night to catch a nut like this. Bring me one of these nutcases and a bottle of antifreeze, see what I would do to them. I just love animals cats and dogs and i treat them equal to a human being!

I wondered if it wasn't an assassin, or just a regular murderer, who was testing out a new weapon. ie testing his poison on animals before using it.

that's just plain wrong! poor little dogs walking around and finds a sausage and it's poisoned. I hope they find the culprit and make him or her eat one of the sausages.

Time to come up with a 'don't eat poison' mascot! I think maybe a smiling dog, with fluffy yellow wings.

Already got that down here in Kyushu. It's the mascot of the town of Hainuzuka （羽犬塚). No connexion with poison, though....

Stray cats are considered vermin, and families of them often live in neighbourhood 'parks' .Someone in the area must have thought this'd be a grand way to kill the yowling cats.

Can someone tell me, is this actually a crime?

For example, if someone was doing it to kill off stray cats (as Maria above me suggested) and without ill intent to harm pets or children, would that person be arrested? And charged with what?

Of course, if it was some Ojisan fed up of the local strays getting in his garbage, this was a dumb way to go about solving his problem. Lets just all hope its not something more sinister .. ><

Reckless endangerment of the public? Littering with harmful substances? Animal cruelty? Being really stupid? I can think of any number of charges...

No doubt this is another nutter with a stray animal tiff. Hope they catch this nutcase before a kid does get poisoned. And, hopefully, it is just a few poisoned sausages and not a wide spread poisoning.

That's messed up. The most heinous criminals throughout history always start with animal abuse/ cruelty. They should catch this guy before it's too late. Install security cams or something.

Agree with you 100% southsakai. I live in Chiba. I'd be more than happy to put you up so that you can hide in the bushes and catch this guy. Room, board, travel expenses, etc. You just have to promise you stay until either you or somebody else catches him. I'd even buy the anti-freeze for you to use on this person. What do you say?
