. The amount of evidence however is staggering, including the youtube video's of threats made at Kurosaki's address

You have links for those?

No judge or jury will convict this guy on the current amount of evidence.

A trial is where the evidence is presented in its entirety. I must say I'm impressed that you somehow have the omniscience to not only know all the evidence when it hasn't even been presented yet, but to actually even know the outcome of any trial already based on it!

No judge or jury will convict this guy on the current amount of evidence. There is no clear evidence so far unless there are some that the police / prosecutors haven’t shared with the general public! The guy will walk free at the end of the trial.

It's okay, this guys which I don't condemn yet because I come from a country where the presumption of innocence is a key point.

You met him AFTER the killing...?

No, the Summer prior, in August. Supposedly they broke up around that time or slightly prior. They were not in each others company when I got acquainted with him.

Everyone more intimately familiar with the case (a large group of foreign students then present in Japan) all know the trail leads to him. Youtube threats, him following her to France, plus his timely escape back home all allude to it.

Most importantly:

There's no jury in France (shocking!).

It should be a laugh.

You simply never read anything about this case

I read the above article and I read one or two others a few months ago.

And make assumptions that look reasonnable to you only. Bias and opinion are not Justice.

Nothing I said contained any bias whatsoever. I simply looked at some facts...like the fact he was far away from home, young and merely a short term student in France to come to the conclusion it seems quite a feat to make a body disappear.

But since you are so knowledgeable about the case why did you stop at just saying "No, you are wrong" and not continue to provide some information to prove me wrong? I would welcome more information. I do not at all welcome be told I am wrong with nothing to back that claim up.

A young Chilean visiting student in France makes a body completely disappear? Seems pretty doubtful. And while the timing of his leaving looks suspicious at first, I am pretty sure he got that ticket well in advance and was simply leaving for the Christmas break like everyone else.

the man probably has a biased understanding of consensual, according to witness they heard her screaming as if there was a nasty argument.

And why are you sure she was screaming at him? Its not impossible that immediately after he left someone else appeared, such as a stalker or jealous ex who was actually waiting for him to leave. They do that sort of thing you know.

As someone who met this guy while studying at the University of Tsukuba a couple of years ago, I can confirm that during my 1 day interaction at a fireworks festival in Tsuchiura, he appeared like a relatively normal bloke. The amount of evidence however is staggering, including the youtube video's of threats made at Kurosaki's address. There can be no doubt. He will do time for the disruption he caused in the Tsukuba community and the grief suffered by friends in family. The outright contempt for life he has shown by denying this young girl hers is unforgivable.

The defence will lean heavily on the fact that no body was ever found - it is hard to make a body disappear completely. However, the prosecuting magistrate must feel that there is sufficient evidence despite this.

Good news.

Great posts.

At least I know that French justice has a long history and it's gonna be a fair trial.
