factory insiders may have contaminated the dumplings with pesticide because of a grievance possibly related to Japan,

Well there you have it, they'll first posion the food supply in Japan and then invade. You all better start learning Chineese.

Yes, all famous invasions have started with poisoned dumplings.

[interrogated 55 employees of Tianyang Food in Hebei Province] I hope they mean questioned... but if they did do it I hope they further 'interrogated' ... I like that part of the word, 'terro' . it really give the word meaning.

Will China now apologize to Japan over being wrong about where he pesticide entered the food? I doubt it.

Sources, sources, sources.

Another example of Japan's trial by press. The Japanese might be happy to have their own criminal and civil investigative process conducted on hearsay and leaked sources, but until China admits that they too suspect that the poisonings were committed by a Chinese company employee, the case is still open.

So immature..........

"Sources, sources, sources."

"The Chinese Ministry of Public Safety"

Chinese authorities have told Japan that it is highly likely that meat dumplings linked to food poisoning incidents in China in June were contaminated with a toxic substance by insiders at the Chinese factory that made them,

No _hit Sherlock.

What are "insiders"? Workers at the factory? Evil doers?

the truth will never come out, even if truth is known, is Japan willing to resume imports of frozen gyoza? No, right? so now this issue is for Media consumption only.

So if it's written in a news article, then it's a credible source? I'll remember that next time I come across The People magazine or The Sunday Sport.

Cheers

The article mentions that "The Japanese Foreign Ministry said Thursday that the Chinese Ministry of Public Safety..." etc but according to your logic this is not a credible source simply because it is written in a news article.

Here's a question for you Dogdog - what you would consider a credible source in that case? An signed, original copy of documentation from Chinese Ministry of Public Safety sent to you by courier?

The Chinese Minister of Public Safety as the primary or direct source. When I read the Chinese dailies today, they quoted the Ministry of Public Safety saying that investigations in both China and Japan were still ongoing and no conclusions had been drawn. One of the possibilities that the MPS was still considering, among many, was that it was an act of sabotage by someone working in the company,

If you believe everything quoted in the Japanese media from secondary sources, then there must be a big gap in your lives since MDN Wai Wai disappeared.

I wouldn't consider the Chinese dailies to be the end all as far as truth about anything is concerned.

My original point was that I would apply the same consideration to the Japanese dailies.........

i don`t have amy good feeling towards the Chinese govt, but at least they are beginning to admit to these incidents.

I think it is a positive sign. Hope the guilty are found and punished in a fair manner, not a bullet to the head.

It was acephate roach poison, roaches that eat it convert it into methamidophos, which can make people sick. So it sounds like some dead roaches or roach parts found their way into the supply line. Which is disturbingly common pretty much everywhere in the world. The only differnence here is that acephate was used to kill the roaches (cus it's cheap).
