Retarded work by Japanese law, moving one...
I am really interested in seeing this resolved with truth being revealed. How can it possible be done at this point, though, is an even deeper mystery. After, I assume, most or all concerned are dead, is the last call to finally reveal what actually happened. I hope they are not denying re-examination because of lack of conviction to do that, but because they themselves wonder mighty how they are going to solve this.

Nagoya is being very stubborn over this. I wonder why.

Its very difficult for Japanese police and most officials to apologize and admit wrong doings. I was stopped by police before because they said they believed my car was stolen. I was put in handcuffs, thrown in the copper van where they EMPTIED my car. They found my proof of registration, ownership forms and even the reciept for payment for the car and monthly car insurance payment stubs. They laughed at me or the whole matter, pat me on the shoulder, removed the cuffs and said "Arigato." and off they went. 29 police officers were there, not one showed remorse for making a mistake.
I believe this could be the same as this case. They don't want to reopen the case because they probably believe that there was some foul play or forced confessions that led to his wrongful imprisonment. I just hope his courageous sister gets the justice she demands before its too late.
