Seems Georgian Judoka people have a hard time following rules.

In July 2 Georgia Judoka Olympians were ejected for violating covid rules now this.

Is it a Georgian problem or just their Judoka?

Know their regions to know their average behavior. That easy.

OK, the guy should be on the first plane out of here and his sporting career should be ruined.

But this is part of something larger.

We had Cornelius the school bully, some dude with holocaust gags, incompetence at the triathlon, people refusing to compete against each other on the grounds of nationality...and now we've got athletes attacking people twice their age.

Japan really doesn't know when to cut its losses when it comes to the PR disasters of these olympic events.

He should be deported but he will probably be let off with an apology I was drunk etc.

Sending him home is not the first option for an offence like this, which has a victim. He needs to be tried for his crime, serve whatever sentence he gets, pay compensation to the victim. Then he should be sent home.

Damn, that's sound really bad for Japan economy !!

Seriously though retaliation for what ? For the security guy hurting the judoka with his broken rib ?

These men may be "disabled" but they are Athletes in judo not table tennis.

They visually impaired From B1, BE and B3 which means that may be legally blind but that does not mean they cannot see levels of light even shapes at certain distances or angles.

So as I don't know who among the 5 members of their team is responsible I like you cannot tell how visual impaired he is.

But once a person a professional fighter in judo has his hands on you unless you are as good as they are in judo you are going down.

No not strange at all because there were no covid restrictions, quarantine, etc.. at those events.

This happened in a quarantine hotel not at what would have under normal circumstances been the teams lodgings with no guest to disturb and not restrictive.

The 2 Georgian judo athletes rejected from the Olympics violated Covid restrictions again not something the other games had.

The guard was called because of a noisy party in the corridor. The scene was already set…

I thought two georgian judo athletes already got in trouble for going sightseeing at the games already.

Need to teach the GOC a lession about breaking the pledge.

“Security Guard” in Japan @BillA 5:51p is equivalent to an elementary school ‘hall monitor’. Remember: that position was usually given to “the person most likely to ‘tattle-tale’”.

There’s really no power behind the position. It’s just a title.

He should be jailed for a couple of years then deported, this country does not need 'guests' like him.

Plane home?! First compensation, then jail time, then home.

Lock him up. Kick the entire Georgian Team, out of the Olympics. They do not have a coach or manager? WTF! Why are they hanging out in the hall drunk? These are athletes participating in an international athletic event?

I'm so happy that most of you are no layers. The world would be a more awful place. What is it with deporting so easily. I guess all of you have a clean consciousness and have never done anything stupid when drunk, exited or what else.

Maybe you need to understand when someone can be deported.

If he indeed attack the security guard than just give a matching punishment, such as public service or penalty. And secondly the security guard may consider to join a self-defense training since he cannot defend himself or learn how to talk with drunk people.

Olympics was a farce! ParaOlympics is turning out to be a bigger farce!

BTW the organizing committee has stopped giving updates on coronavirus cases related to the ParaOlympics on a regular basis! They are trying their best to hide this information from the general public as to show that everything is going smoothly!

Give him the jail time he deserves. Don't allow him to compete and after he has paid damages to the victim, more jail time. Then deportation.

He should be in Jail already! What's happening to the Japanese police any other non Olympic foreigner would have been in jail straight away ? He's not working for an embassy and doesn't have diplomatic immunity!

Is that all you need to do to get out of an assault charge (with injury)? I never heard of this method to get out of a criminal charge especially with broken bones back in my home country. Does this really work in Japan? Just say "sorry" and assault with injury charges dropped?

This "man" is an Olympian; an Olympic Gold medallist.

This Olympic Gold medallist grabbed an elderly by the neck, threw him onto the floor, broke the geezer's ribs.

This Olympic Gold medallist was drunk and disorderly while assaulting a defenceless old man.

Of course there will be always "some" claiming "it's hardly front page news"!

He should be prosecuted, fined/jailed (or both), then expelled from the country.

Lastly, banned from any future Judo competitions, as he's clearly not worth it.
